The Saturday night dance of Bayou Bedlam takes place at the Knights of Columbus Hall, not at our regular dance location.
We hope that you will register for the full weekend. Not only will you have a blast, your dancing will improve as you learn and practice skills that we don't teach at our regular dances. See the schedule page for this year's workshops.
But if you can only attend part-time, be aware that the admission price for each evening dance and all day Sunday is $25 per person. You can preregister online before the weekend, or pay with cash or check at the door. As usual, young people under 18 are admitted free of charge but must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
HATDS members qualify for a $5 discount at one $25 session but must pay at the door, not online (yet).
Producing an event such as Bayou Bedlam requires many helping hands. There are several ways you can help; here are three of them:
1. Offer Home Hospitality
We are always looking for home hospitality for our out-of-town guests. If you can offer sleeping space, please click the button to submit your offer to our housing coordinator.
2. Come to Slice 'n Dice
Volunteers are needed at the annual Slice 'n Dice party, an open-to-all gathering where the food preparation begins. Come join us around 6:30 pm on the Wednesday before the Bayou Bedlam weekend (Feb. 12 this year). We'll meet at Alice's home at 921 Judiway, 77018 (the house in the back). Bring your own knives and cutting boards.
3. Help During the Weekend
There are several jobs that need doing over the course of the weekend, none of which require much time. See the Volunteer Page for a list.
